Training and Development
QFCA sees the investment in its employees as a strategic priority. We believe in supporting employees to achieve the organizational goals as well as their individual goals. By increasing the job knowledge, skills and competencies of employees at each level of the organisation, we improve the quality of work and of work-life.
We incorporate a range of training and development approaches to address different learning styles including; internal and external courses, on the job training, as well as online learning. For example, QFCA is in partnership with some of the best educational organisations in the world in order to provide web-based training to further develop its people.
Succession Planning and Career Development Policy
At QFCA, succession planning is a part of a series of integrated human resources systems linking forecasting, career planning and development, assessment and performance appraisal. Selected vacancies are first posted internally to give QFCA employees the opportunity to explore new roles and responsibilities. We have established a ‘Succession Planning and Career Development Committee’ in order to support and implement this policy.
Performance Management Process
QFCA recognizes that its success largely depends on aligning and maximizing the talent, skills and knowledge of all its employees. Our performance management system encourages an environment of continuous personal and professional growth and reinstates our expectations of high performance and individual development.
Continuing education policy
QFCA encourages its employees to pursue higher education and attain additional qualifications to enhance their knowledge and skills in areas of direct relevance to their individual job function and to QFCA.
Through our ‘Continuing Education Policy’ employees can enroll in distance, part-time or executive graduate degrees based on predefined criteria and minimum requirements. All applications are routed through QFCA’s Continuous Education Committee.
Summer Internships
One of our key goals as an organisation is to contribute to the development of young Qataris. QFCA Training & Development Division organizes 4-6 week internships every summer from June to August inclusive. Qatari university students who would be graduating within one to two years and majoring in a subject of relevance to our work should apply before 1st of May of the respective year to have their application considered. Graduate Program for Qatari Nationals
We have adopted an exciting program for talented and motivated Qatari Nationals who have recently graduated with business, IT, legal and related degrees. The program is for 2 years and includes rotational assignments and work responsibilities to give new graduates a hands-on work experience in a world-class organization and personal involvement in the development of the QFCA. Successful applicants will be employed full time by the QFC Authority and will receive competitive compensation and benefits.
