The QFC, was established by the Government of Qatar in 2005 with a mandate to support the development of a world-class financial services industry. Aligned with the Qatar National Development Strategy 2011-2016 and Qatar’s National Vision 2030, a visionary economic, social and cultural blueprint for the sustainable development of a knowledge based economy by 2030, the QFC plays an important role in the development of the financial sector in Qatar.
