DOHA, 12 June 2006

In the first event of its kind in the Middle East by the internationally renowned foreign policy think tank, Chatham House (the Royal Institute of International Affairs) held a roundtable workshop in Doha on 11 June. The debate, entitled "The Gulf Region: the new hub of global financial power?", was attended by an invited group of leading international bankers, economists, regulators and financial professionals. The workshop was hosted by the Qatar Financial Centre Authority.
